Bobi Seredich is the President, CEO and majority partner of EQ Inspirations, LLC. Prior to launching EQ Inspirations, Bobi founded and served as President of Equanimity, Inc. since 2001. Equanimity is a speakers bureau and training company creating educational and motivational solutions for major Fortune 500 companies across the United States. Bobi originally envisioned EQ Inspirations as a tool to bring the content of well-known authors and experts to mobile devices, allowing people to conveniently experience learning on the go.
Through both EQ Inspirations and Equanimity, Bobi is committed to creating better lives. Bobi has worked in the U.S. and all over the world with small companies and Fortune 500 clients including ConAgra Foods, Merck Pharmaceuticals, Avaya, Microsoft, ExxonMobil, Ford, Wells Fargo and Jones Lang LaSalle.
Bobi intimately understands what it means to thrive in business during times of change - she was a senior operations and marketing executive with Maritz Travel, one of the top meeting planning and incentive travel companies in the world and furthered her career as an executive with a successful leadership conference organization, Leadership Network Corporation in Arizona. She has directed meetings and events in more than 25 countries including England, Canada, Hong Kong, China, Turkey, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden, Greece, Switzerland, France and Italy.
She is an author and her first book - Courage Does Not Always Roar - features the stories of many ordinary women of courage, published by Simple Truths in June 2010. Bobi began writing the book after completing treatment for breast cancer in 2009, and her personal story is included in the book. As a certified speaker and trainer in Emotional Intelligence - the new X factor in leadership and success - Bobi has trained several large and fast-growing organizations on the skills of emotional intelligence. Bobi is certified through the Institute of Health and Human Potential and in 2004 completed a one-year Enduring High Performance™ Coaching Program in Emotional Intelligence. Her experience and knowledge of emotional intelligence were utilized in creating EQI's unique emotional connection measurement tool.
Bobi holds a B.A. degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. She also attended the Universidad De Las Americas in Puebla, Mexico and Washington University in St. Louis. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona where she has been involved in the community with the Multi-Cultural Arts Foundation, Florence Crittenton Foundation, Tom Crawford Leadership Children's Foundation, Campaign Director for two years with the Sister to Sister Heart Awareness Foundation, Heart Ball Committee Member 2008/2009, and has volunteered for over 7 years and currently teaches classes at the Fresh Start Women's Foundation. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation honored her as one of "Arizona's Finest" in 2004 for her community contributions. She is also a 2008-2009 honoree member of the Cambridge Who's Who of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs. |

Roy Pierson is the Chief Technology Officer and a principle partner in EQ Inspirations. He is passionate about business innovation and technology trends with a specialty for mapping technology solutions to real business problems. Prior to joining EQ Inspirations, Roy worked for Microsoft Corporation for 15 years in a variety of strategic roles. He has a deep background in software development and business strategy working in many industries including Retail and Hospitality, Travel, Transportation, Financial Services, Manufacturing and Logistics.
Roy is a natural mediator and relationship builder successful at bringing highly technical experts and software solutions to business leaders to achieve a winning outcome. Much of his focus at Microsoft was in leadership roles for Microsoft's Retail and Hospitality industry group. Roy has provided strategic leadership and account management to high-profile clients while leveraging his solutions delivery experience from Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS).
In his career with Microsoft, some of his accomplishments include:
- Provided fifteen years of passionate, high-performing execution at Microsoft with a breadth of experience in technology and architecture, business strategy, and industry experience in retail, hospitality, transportation, distribution/logistics, manufacturing, and financial services.
- Account Executive and trusted advisor to executive business and IT leaders for Fortune 500 companies, including large enterprise customers in retail, hospitality and transportation, manufacturing and financial services.
- Led the Microsoft U.S. Services team as Practice Director for Retail and Hospitality working with the top-100 retail and hospitality clients in the U.S. Roy ran a $30M services business, managing a large team of industry thought-leaders, including solution architects, technology delivery consultants, and services management.
- Practice Manager for West Region Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS). Roy led the sales and delivery of high-profile solutions in the West Region, working with Fortune 500 companies, including Intel Corp, Honeywell, ON Semiconductor, Avnet and others. MCS provides software delivery services for clients with mission-critical business needs, managing high-risk and high-impact projects.
- Solution sales and delivery lead for Microsoft partnering with Arizona Public Service (APS) to deliver a custom power-trading platform on the Microsoft .NET platform. APS created a trading platform to compete with Enron's heavy power trading monopoly.
- Led the recovery of a high profile solution win with Intel Corporation to operate their next-generation (300 mm) Fabs on the Microsoft/Wintel platform. Intel was ready to pull the plug on a strategic effort, and Roy led the Microsoft team to fix and successfully deliver the solution with partner, Applied Materials. Intel still uses the 300 mm process today, and (through Applied Materials) impacted more than $100M in business for Microsoft globally.
- Senior Architect for the EDS/Microsoft partnership on AirSOA - a Services Oriented Architecture for the airline industry. Roy played a lead business development role in the Microsoft/EDS partnership, helping develop a multi-year roadmap for delivering core solutions (e.g., reservations, flight operations, asset management, and CRM) to major airline carriers, globally.
- Led Microsoft's Travel Industry consortium as contributing architect for the HITIS project, creating industry specifications and standards for managing systems integration efforts across technology platforms in hospitality and travel.
- Exceeded sales quotas year-over-year with high levels of customer and partner satisfaction with multiple Gold Star awards. Roy dives into his customers' business becoming a trusted advisor and key strategist helping align technology delivery to core business objectives.
Roy has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University where he majored in Computer Systems Engineering and minored in Mathematics. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona and enjoys snow skiing, mountain biking and traveling. He has a 13-year-old son who shares his love of math and science (and the outdoors) and a beautiful 8-year-old daughter who is a star basketball player and skier. |
 |  |  | DANA L. SCHMITT GENERAL COUNSEL
Dana L. Schmitt is a founding partner and General Counsel of EQ Inspirations, LLC. Dana also provides legal services and business consulting and strategic planning services, with a focus on entrepreneurism, business start-ups, and women and minority-owned and operated businesses.
Prior to co-founding EQ Inspirations in 2010, Dana served as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of General Sports and Entertainment, LLC, where she worked for 10 years, beginning in 1999. In this capacity, Dana worked directly with General Sports' Chairman to oversee the development and operation of all General Sports business divisions, subsidiaries and affiliated entities, while handling legal matters for each entity. The General Sports business divisions included Team Acquisition & Management, Corporate Consulting, Executive Placement, and GSE Meetings & Events, as well as subsidiaries and affiliates that included the Derby County Football Club (Derby, England), the Fort Wayne Wizards minor league baseball team, synthetic turf and sports facilities construction company General Sports Venue, naming rights and sponsorship sales agency General Sport Alliances, the Sports Executive Leadership Conference, and the General Sports Foundation.
Dana's major accomplishments as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for General Sports and Entertainment included:
- Serving as counsel in the 2003 launch and operation of a national synthetic turf and sports venue construction company called General Sports Venue, negotiating the company's long-term licensing agreement securing the exclusive rights in the U.S. to all Astroturf® brand products and intellectual property, overseeing a change in majority ownership of the company to a group led by Michael Dennis in 2006, securing minority business certification status for the company, and serving as lead counsel in the successful sale of the company in 2009.
- Serving as lead in-house counsel in the January 2008 acquisition of the Derby County Football Club, a storied English Premier/Championship League football (soccer) club that was established in 1884, along with the club's 33,500-seat Pride Park Stadium and world-class training facilities in Derby, England.
- Serving as counsel in the 2006 launch of naming rights and sponsorship sales agency General Sports Alliances, and assisting the company in securing key clients, including the Honda Racing Formula One team.
- Helping to found and produce the Sports Executive Leadership Conference, the premier annual leadership event for senior executives in the North American sports industry.
- Developing and operating GSE Meetings & Events, a business division focused on producing major events, conferences and event marketing programs for clients that included Accenture, Amerisure, Avaya, Compuware, the Detroit Football Classic (a Historically Black College and University Football Classic), Flagstar Bank, General Motors, LaSalle Bank, MSC Software, Pfizer, and VIA Rail - Canada.
- Being selected as one of Detroit's "40 Under 40" by Crain's Detroit Business in 2005.
Prior to joining General Sports, Dana worked for the Chicago law firm of Blatt, Hammesfahr & Eaton, where she represented Lloyd's of London Syndicates, and various insurers and re-insurers in the United States, Canada and Europe. Dana received her Juris Doctor degree in 1995 from the University of Michigan Law School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 1992, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Dana is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Illinois. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Founders Junior Council of the Detroit Institute of Arts. |
